"A distant day, a gentleman, a feudal lord of the Castle of Rotorscio, met a beautiful girl living in Rocca Petrosa. Fascinated by the grace of the young woman, he fell in love with her and decided to kidnap her. Costei, however, was in love and promised bride to another castellan, her age, named Piero. One afternoon, the feudal lord entered with many armed men inside the Rocca and managed to kidnap the girl named Sara.
The inhabitants of the place closed the access doors to the Rocca and began a violent scuffle with the knights followers of the Count of Revellone. During the fight, the count, when he saw the surrender, killed the beautiful Sara he held in his arms.
Upon arrival Piero swooped down on the killer, who, brandishing an ax, also struck the unfortunate young man who fell down next to his young beloved and, after a last hug, he died beside her.
In memory of the unfortunate contest and the sad abuse, the Petroso Castle took the name of Pierosara which, to this day, it still preserves. "
Our vineyards extend right under this fortress, and the throbbing love that gave its name to this land inspires the history of our wines.
La Giostra is the wonder, the feast of love, in a cosmic, fantastic, imaginative dress that attracts the eyes and holds all the convolutions of a heart in love: the gaze rests on her and sees beyond, imagines, celebrates beauty through fantasy.
Il Prologo is the story that presents itself, it is freedom and recklessness: it is destiny that takes its way and not the predetermined one; the ball escapes from the jester's hands, and decides which wind to follow.
Il Cortese is the light-hearted lightness of the lover: jump, fly, weightless. Mild and passionate, he is agile in his dance, does not touch the ground, his feet mingle with the white of the world around, enraptured as he is by the superhuman strength of the feeling of love.
There is a meeting point hidden from all, which only those who love each other know and recognize. That hill, pink at sunset, full and vivid of present, like a pomegranate, awaits lovers and promises. Colleonorato's rosé wine celebrates that secret joy of love.
